    Looks like you're in Iowa. You can have the fitting for free but the shipping is going to be in the neighborhood of $1000.

    Maybe they'll let me extend my X-country flight for my commercial. It's not like I need to do all the little flights they have scheduled.

    I have a commercial instrument ticket for sling wing with a S70 type rating. Since I retired from the military, I'm going back to do the airplane transitions. The school is having a hard time understanding that with 2000 hrs, I don't need to do all the little x-cntry flights to get my ratings. They are a 141 school and are struggling with the fact that a transition isn't the same as learning to fly. If they want me to fly x-cntry they should let me go somewhere fun. Like to a boat race.
