I try and drink 1 gallon of H2o while I am at work and that doesnt count what I do at the gym or for dinner.
Its tough some times as I have a desk job and am not really moving around.

OK guys.......time to bump this one back to the top. This is serious stuff cuz I really don't want to see a bunch of flabby HotBoaters when we see each other at Desert Storm.

GRADS you need to get your ass in gear .........take whatever you have in your mouth out and watch what your eating :rolleyes

The rest of you that are staying true to your goals......good on ya!!!

For those of you that are starting to waiver......remember that all is not lost, just get back on the wagon.....no reason to give up, we all slip from time to time and you just need to pick up where you left off.

For my part I'm really hanging in there.......hoping to hit 20lbs this week and I'm getting close....I just need to make it through the weekend for the Monday morning weigh-in and I'm golden!!.....I just don't want to feel like this anymore 31535

I feel fantastic I've been eating very well and exercising. I should be up a few pounds by now, but I'm actually static which leads me to believe I've drop some more pounds.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I may be glowing :D

Well..................how did everyone do this week???

I had a pretty good week......I haven't cheated once since starting and have met my Sugar and Carb goals every day. I think I'll be just short of 5 lbs again this week but all in all still on track and hope everyone else is still motivated toward your goals.

Remember......there is no fail here, if you stumble don't worry this is a marathon and NOT a sprint. There is time to get back on the bus and head toward your goal and looking good for boating season....hang in there and please post up as early as you can tomorrow so I can get the stats compiled and posted before I head off to school at 3.

I've been doing really well. I've stuck with my low carb and very healthy diet as well as my workout. If my weight is up tomorrow I'll be surprised. If it's the same as last week I will be happy.

That looks Incredible!!!!!!!

Just got back from a camping trip with a stop at a birthday party for a three year old on the way home. Blew up the good eating this weekend just like last. Had some fantastic smoked Brats this afternoon and that is light compared to all the "camping" food. Hope I'm down this week as I missed the gym a couple days for work as well.

Wife is wanting some Brie and Asti this evening as well as we didn't get to it last night as the beach was so fantastic.

Not too bad considering a camping trip and birthday party. This week will be topped with my own son's birthday party on Saturday and the Super Bowl on Sunday. Let's hope not to gain weight this week.

Well I've settled into my ongoing weight loss mode of 2-3 lbs a week so I should be where I want to be now in about 10 more week......all on track so far!! 18.6lbs so far to date!!

It was all alcohol & food weight from the night before's NFL Championship Game before we weighed in last week. I lost 5/6 lbs that week but then put it back on before the weight-in.
GRADS is onto something - weigh in AFTER your morning u know what!!!

Ok here are the results for week 3, sorry for the tardiness of the data but here were go;

It looks like the weeks biggest loser is Jersey girl with the highest % loss at a whopping 3.85% as well as the most total lbs at a 8 lbs.....what a great week.....keep up the good work :thumb:

Wendi had another very good week moving into 1st place among the ladies @3.75% overall loss since starting and just barely eeking out Eli as these 2 gals are both doing a great job of staying committed and continuing on toward their goal before swimsuit season arrives!!!

On the overall front Tishimself continues to make steady progress surpassing 5% total weight loss and in a very solid second place but more importantly one step closer toward a "Shirt off" boating season :D

Last but not least we would be remiss if we left out the one person that inspired us all to start down this path, the man who by his own unselfishness in pointing out how he had seriously plumped up got us all thinking about getting serious for swimsuit weather and for that we thank you for the motivation GRADS...................now maybe you could back up your words with a little action and get your ass in gear ?? :yikes:


Let's all have a great week and hit it hard because this Sunday is going to be a tough day with the Superbowl and all the parties on the horizon.......all I can say is; stay true to your goals and plans, if you slip it's no big deal, just pick yourself up and get back on the path.....good luck this week everyone, keep up all the good work:action-smiley-035:

We'll weigh in every Monday morning and this will be the official weight for the week. I'll keep the stats and we'll measure the following;
You have allowed people to weigh in Tuesdays, as well as people to participate who were not in the initial weigh in as stated in the T's & C's thereby waiving this clause.

Total Weight Loss (lbs and %)
Weekly Loss (lbs and %)
Monthly Loss (lbs and %)


I suggest that we run this for 90 days and have monthly winners based on aggregate weight loss to that date. The Monthly checkpoints will be; The term "I suggest" clearly indicates that this is only a suggestion…duh

February 3rd
March 3rd
March 31st


These are all 4 week periods.

The only rules are that you have to use the same scale for each weigh-in, you have to wear only your swimsuit for ALL weigh-ins. We'll rely on your integrity and more importantly the typical warmth and support that we always provide each other on this forum :D States CLEARLY the ONLY rules

People are definitely starting to notice my weight loss. I'm going to go buy one of those ratcheting belt buckles as I'm between holes. I just had my suits taken in last November and I don't want them to start looking sloppy again! I might have to give all this up in order to maintain nice fitting suits and belts......

Love that place. Just seems it hasn't caught on yet. Maybe a marketing issue, not sure. The food is great, the service is perfect. I love that when they are busy, its all hands on deck to the pizza flippin counter. They also have Goose Island IPA. Got hooked on that stuff when we were in Orlando last year, very good IPA.

Wendi, he's right. The best way to tell is how you look and your measurements. Also, BMI is going to tell you how much fat you lost and muscle you gained. You can have your BMI checked. Then compare them. See if you can find a place that has a Bod Pod and have them calculate your BMI every 30 days.

At this time last year I was 245 and by May I was 205....all by running and eating a little better.

OK team.....this is the part of the process that get's tough. Once we've been at this for a month "Life" starts to get in the way and most lose interest and start thinking "This is not a good time....I'll lose weight some other time"......this is EXACTLY why people don't get to their goals!!

The key to success is to stay with it even when it is HARD......of course it's hard, if it was easy everyone could do it.....it wouldn't take commitment, anything worth achieving is worth being hard.......so all I can say is get back on your plan if you've had a stumble......there will ALWAYS be stumbles but you simply need to get back on your plan and back on the weight loss train.........YOU CAN DO IT!!!


If you've give up and consider yourself a quitter and not a loser let us know and we'll remove your name from the group.......on the other hand there is NO REASON to give up even if you haven't really started yet......we still have 2 months left to go and there's plenty of time to get on a serious plan!!

GOod luck everyone, you've done great so far but we can all do better :thumb:

You'd be better off eating a cookie than those candies, I think. The serving size of the candy is probably like 5 pieces @ 150 calories. I'm sure 1 cookie has less than that.

So.........Needless to say I had a very public meltdown (diet wise) on Monday.......what I didn't mention is that I also went crazy on SB Sunday as well and really didn't get back on the wagon till Wednesday.......with that being said I managed to get the body back in the swing by the end of the week and even managed to post a 1lb loss.........I'm stoked actually, all things considered :thumb:
