Just did a pre-weigh in...just to see....and I think I did pretty good this week....bump up the time on the treadmill, along with a stricter diet, and next week should be a good week also....I plan to keep this going long after March....I want to get below 200 if I can by years end...tired of people being able to tell which side of the train I am sitting on...

OMG, 2.8, I'll take it! I thought I was really bad this week with extras(Alcohol, appetizers etc..). Back on track today, oh and upgrading to a smart phone today so I can post my pic earlier quicker and learn how to make my picture smaller :smile:

The 2nd week will be tougher I think. I could have dropped that weight by just sitting in the sauna if I wanted to.

Not in on this challenge but I went from 254 last monday at the docs to 245 this morning. Laying in bed for 4 days with little appetite has one advantage.:thumbsUp::thumbsUp:

Well with all but 1 weigh-in posted here are the results for the first week. It looks like Eli and Wendi are neck and neck as a % loss with 3.8 and 3.07% respectively for the week and program to date. Almost everyone made a big effort on the week and even though some of you were talking shit you all stuck to your guns.......with the exception of one person who shall remain nameless, GRADS, and who was in truth responsible for getting us all started down this path in the first place.:bat:

I'm looking forward to having my clothes feel better in a couple of weeks and that will be the win for me :yes:.

Now the tough part starts......the first week is the jump start and you all did a great job but now the work is just as hard and the results slower to show, but just hang in there and persist.......remember anything that you can do for 21 days can become a habit......like eating well.:action-smiley-035:

Congrats to everyone......see you all back here same time next week!!!

I did my first 1 hour boot camp tonight. Let me tell you it kicked my ASS!!! I am so out of shape it isn't even funny. I couldn't keep up. But I'm not going to give up either. I took 2 advil tonight hoping I'm not too sore tomorrow!

I know I'm 1.5 weeks late BUT I also started a 28-day weight loss with a group of people for money the same day (jan 6th) you guys started yours. So can I get in on this with you guys?I don't care about the items up for grabs...I just need incentive to loose this fat ass and you guys are doing it for 90-days, 2-months longer than this other group.
I took a pic of my scale along with (clothed) before pics on Jan 6th...so here is the scale pic of my fat ass, oh and my unpolished toe nails. And don't judge - I might be fat but I'm also TALL and WILL kick yer butt ;)
The scale shows 206-lbs and I would like to loose 41-lbs to get to 165-lbs. 30759

Are your muscles sore? If so, your body is retaining water. If not, your body isn't getting enough food. Add a low fat muscle milk.

I haven't lost any weight so far this week either.

I bought the groupon for 10 classes at the cardio house 36.00. I like it however they just increased their monthly fee from 65.00 to 85.00. A lot of people are leaving i guess too expensive. You should buy it and join with me! After that I'm going to do the 6 week unlimited boot camp at fit body boot camp another groupon!

Your body is just retaining water. Don't get discouraged. When your muscles are sore your body retains more water. Drink more water and it will flush out. Trust me I'm the queen of water weight crap!

With this in mind I encourage you all to think about where you are going and what you are trying to accomplish. Stay strong and you WILL get there!! You really only have one more week to go to get to 21 days on your plan......and remember that human nature is that things become habits after 21 days.........so hang in there and be strong for YOURSELF and don't worry about the shit the saboteurs are throwing against the fan :thumb:

Honestly, this whole weight challenge sucks. I hate watching what I eat even though I'm not necessarily eating healthier, just smaller portions of crap. :D I know I should but eating healthier just annoys me. Healthy food does not fill one up the way the good stuff like a Beefy 5 Layer Burrito from Taco Bell does.

Monday should be a decent weigh in. Since it's a bank holiday, I'll weigh in after the gym in the morning and after I hit the sauna. I was thinking of saving that weigh in until the last but after this week, I may need to use that card now!

While I understand that men can cut a meal here and there and lose weight, there are just as many women participating in this challenge and are looking for support not taunting. It's not as easy for women to shed weight.

To be fair....it really isn't affecting me but as the sponsor of this endeavor I feel responsible to help the others stay on track cuz it's really tough and more importantly well worth the effort!!

For my part I will kick everyone's ass in this challenge but I am a unique person that stays focused on a diet till I reach my goal....it's not hard for me cuz I've done it so many time over the years (unfortunately)......just sayin' :D

I cant weigh in till I get home! I hiked everyday while here, started our remodel so I was lifting and carrying drywall etc. no drinking and ate well. Except I did have a sweet tooth craving last night so I had a couple homemade toll house cookies. I will weigh in tonight and post! I feel great!!

We have 2 of the mouthiest participants who seem to have forgotten that we even have a weight loss challenge going on. I'm not going to name any names (GRADS) but c'mon........what the hell else have you got to do? You're the one that teed this thing up in the first place....Geezzz!!!


In closing this is challenge going to get tougher before it gets easier, but you have got to keep your eye on the ball and keep track of your intake on a daily basis and don't put one single thing in your body that isn't helping you get to your goal or..................just give up and quit!!!

Drop me a note if you're discouraged I can absolutely give you some ideas to help you get jump started ......perseverance is the key :thumb:

I weighed myself this morning and I'm up 2 pounds...I know it's not what I ate yesterday.

Don't get discouraged. Keep doing what you're doing and the pounds will drop. Week 2 is always harder.

So I am constantly amazed at how much I can eat and still take the lbs off. Here is my meal plan for today.

Breakfast - Toasted English Muffin with Cottage Cheese
Lunch - Turkey sandwich with 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato and Mayo
Dinner - Shrimp Scampi with pasta, Caesar Salad


All in all the keys for me to lose weight are less than 16g of sugar and less than 125 carbs.......with those in check the calories are secondary.............you can eat well AND lose weight you just gotta plan. I'f you're going out to eat a Chicken Caesar Salad will always keep you on track and almost every restaurant has one.

I ate there yesterday. It was absolute shit. Normally McDonalds are pretty consistent, its always crap food no matter which one you go to. Yesterday was the exception, it was exceptionally crappy. The stinkin bun was hard, like it was sitting outside for days. One bite and I chucked the entire pile of slop in the trash.

I used to get their oatmeal until almost every morning I had to dump out 2 cups of extra water. I ordered oatmeal, not oatsoup. So friggin disgusting.

No more McD's for me. I'll throw a cup of soup in the microwave if I have to or not eat at all, like today :D 4lbs will be easy :D

Money over good food isn't a motivator for me lol. But I am dropping weight, just not as aggressively as I did last year.

I'm trying something a little different this time. If it works everyone will know and I'll have a good long term plan. Just not trying to radically change my lifestyle in the process. Changing your lifestyle can be a huge de-motivator.
