i was told the aqua met 22 over the k monel ,, just trying to get the best one or the right one the first time ,, was told not a fact that the k-500 may be too brittle to use at the river that the aqua met 22 has a little more give ...ie hitting a piece of driftwood or something since this is a river boat not a racer ..

They are both good materials. You're not trying to rotate the world, so I would get which ever is going to be cheaper. K500 is ONLY brittle if machined incorrectly.
