It has something to do with how you start the engine, the tank on the back is a compressed air tank, there is a separate small HIT-NN-MISS gas engine with a antique air compressor that pumps up the tank, you pull a lever and move the cam followers off the primary run lobes (that actuates the valves and allows fuel to flow). SOme how there is a position where it opens valves and lets the engine spin free of compression... Pull the lever and then the intake and fuel metering valve starts to work...Originally Posted by Mrs.K034
