I could be wrong, but I think Hondo first initiated that style of scoop. I've always liked them.

Okay, here you go. The drive end of the shaft to mate with the cam drive. Shaft is made from A-286, all diameters ended being .0007 total run-out. It has 2 large bearings in the center of the shaft with a .0003 press so they won't be too hard to get off if they ever need replacing. I gave it .005 clearance on the male to female fit of the drive end to allow for any misalignment when it all goes together.

The surfers first car was 1965 , GBP was 63 before the Xmas tree look at the age difference of the cars in the photos . The first car to run that scoop was Tony Nancys 22 jr rail built in 63 ,Steve Swaja designed that scoop when the Surfers were in high school .

Bob, this should make you feel all puffy chested. I took your advise and ordered a Rollmaster set. My chain was due for replacing anyway but I searched around and found one, they're not easy to find BTW.
