I apologize for these pics, really not great. The elements were against me, not to mention I was in a 12' Skiff and we were really getting knocked around. Add in a 600mm free held lens, and it was a rough day for sure. But nonetheless it was a lot of fun. If I do this again next year it will be from a better vantage point.
The 4 beer boat ride over, breakfast beers, drinks afterward, and a helicopter ride home made for a great day on the Island. I'd do that again in a heartbeat.
The lack of skiers in my pics is not intentional. I had a hard enough time bringing the boats in to full frame. We were pretty far away and even with a 600 it was a challenge. Pulling a skier in to even a half frame was pretty hard. My first ski race shooting from the water, and on a 12' boat. Live and learn.
