Vegas for NYE?
In my 39+ years on this planet (technically the + makes this a true statement lol), I have never done Vegas for NYE.
Looks like that may change this year.
Should I be scared?
Should I get one of those pet tracker implants in case I get lost?
What are the symptoms of being roofied?
Should I not take my phone so no pics can be taken?
Should I hire a bodyguard for the night?
LOL

Good luck. Book a few days beyond the weekend so the traffic home won't be so bad.

Take lots of pics and tell me if its worth it. Maybe I can talk her into it for next year.

I've done this twice and was considering a third time this year.
Both of my former experiences were fun. A sardine in a can has more space than people in the hotels/clubs/streets etc. But, there are plenty of people who will try to kiss you at midnight. Blekh!!
From my experience, if you want to go to a place other than your hotel to celebrate, you need a reservation or get there really early. They put security at the hotel entrance, no key ...no entrance ...unless you're a single hot chick of course.
I think everyone should do it at least once. But, be prepared for chaos. The cab ride from the Mirage to the MGM took over an hour. I couldn't walk that far in 4 inch spike heels so we sat in traffic. But, it was totally worth it!
DO NOT drive home on the first and if possible wait until the 3rd. Or the drive will take 8+ hours.
Stay at the hotel you plan on partying at, it will reduce a lot of BS and waiting in traffic.

First time for NYE was 2000 and the last time was 2012, the year before we moved to SWF, 13 years to be exact, we stayed at Venetian for the first four then MB for the rest fo them, it's a zoo, but it's crazy fun, plan on being totally worn out for a few days..............always keep your wallet in your front pocket, take a coat/jacket if you're going outside, have fun and take pics.

Good advice Eli. Hotboat should leave his 4" spiked heals at home.
