x2 ..Wow! ... I had no idea Laughlin got that crazy, lot of memories with that Hondo
Yes sir! I took that Hondo everywhere. I ran it 14 years without ever needing a tow and actually, I towed in a Bayliner once. Makes me laugh when people say flatty's are useless and can only run early morning or late at night.
How's yours coming? Have you ran it yet?

Those are people that never drove a 18ft flat to Catalina and back pulling a skier

That's for sure! Not saying I have either, but most people don't believe me when I tell them about those days and I often end up having to prove it with literature and pictures.

Haven't ran it yet but getting close, just a lot of little things left to do .... hopefully within the next couple months.
OMG....I was out there that year...a little further downriver though.....I remember I was between boats, and had just gotten married to my first wife. So my ex brother in law had a trailer in Parker, and we all went out there......he says, lets all go out in my boat for the afternoon. I said sure...so out we go to his enclosed garage, and he opens the door, and what do I see? Yeah, one of those inflatable rubber boats with an outboard motor on it. Kinda like this...
So, I was expecting something else, not this. But, I gotta go along to get along, so I went out in it, and everyone, from one end of the fucking river to the other, made fun of us. He never noticed it, I did. I never went out in that boat again, and he turned out later to be a total asshole. Good riddance. A year later, I was gone.
