Darner told me that every piece of rigging came from Bergeron, their site sucks for mobile use, what shafts do they sell to race teams.
As for the rudder and props, what would you use to inspect them?

He has bitched about wanting a boat discussion, here is a boat discussion,
I couldn't help notice looking at his post history, that EVERY SINGLE post of his is in a thread about HIM and HIS boat, Not single post outside that EXCEPT to trash some threads in open discussion,
He has added NOTHING to this forum outside his own boat. Who the fuck is he to trash anybody about not discussing boats in an open discussion forum. All he knows how to do is talk about HIS boat, and the anything else is actually factually WRONG.
I said this earlier, if Grads was going to start a boat related thread, this would be it.
GN I never said I didn't agree with the thread, I do not agree with the name calling. Never said I wanted this thread or this site to be kumbaya, but I have always said I do not want members to insult other members, or trash others boats. I understand there will be a certain amount of badgering, its a Ford vs Chevy thing, V vs OD, Cat vs. V, etc. I get that and I have no problem with it. To be honest, very few threads around here get locked.
But lets please keep it semi civilized. We're all boaters. Regardless of what type of boat we own or operate, they're all boats. And at the end of the day, no matter if its a V or jet or tanker, most of us would help the other if they asked for help.
And I think its obvious when OG is doing and I'm surprised you guys are letting him get the best of you

I didn't see any name calling, but if there was, it should stop, I agree.
This is not my or anybody else's first thread, or first LAM thread. We are all big boys here. he's not getting the best of anybody. But some of us sure as hell are learning a lot about him.
Like I said, his previous posts were all about him and his boat with near no context. I am beginning to understand why. He is better off not writing.

Bergeron sells Aquamet shafts, in 19 and 22 depending on the power level the customers wants.
Denton, I use this setup from mc MasterCarr, and it works pretty well. Found a cracked prop with it, and have used it on parts I knew to be cracked previously just to test it.

I would still consider wet magging the rudder, and the strut if and when you have them out.
The rudder needs to be checked around the area where the shaft meets the blade, and the whole strut should be checked.

I think Bob and I greed that K500 was a wise choice over on PB or it could have been here, I don't remember.
Honestly, I feel the machining of the shaft is more important than the material type, as long as you go with a good material.
i was told the aqua met 22 over the k monel ,, just trying to get the best one or the right one the first time ,, was told not a fact that the k-500 may be too brittle to use at the river that the aqua met 22 has a little more give ...ie hitting a piece of driftwood or something since this is a river boat not a racer ..
