    I think they did these every year for a while. I never attended and didn't know they raced there either....

    Depends on the organization. APBA has a clause about boat names. It all started with a boat called the X Muscle. They got after Paul Brochauser about his Rayson LP ProStocker called Soggy Bitch. He died before they really pushed the issue. But they have "approval" right to boat names, specially "new" names.
