I prefer colored lights on a tree, but Mrs Daytona likes white lights and we all know how that works.
How do your icicle lights fit your eves perfectly? Mine are always too long or too short.

Get an electric staple gun, one staple either side of the light, one in the middle in between them. For icicle lights, one every six to eight inches, stretch the cable tight with each staple so there is no slack. Fold the plug up under the eave and staple it up there to hide it.....hope this helps...Make sure you only go three to four strings in a row with older strings...new LED's which I will be getting next year allow for longer series of lights....
