Oh shit, talk about a childhood flashback. CHRSITA SPECK!! Like the post with Cam Nelson as the Trophy Queen of the 1968 Elsinore 500 with Vic Edelbrock.
That article is 1966. What they aren't telling you is, she was Miss September 1961, and the Playmate of the Year 1962. I am pretty sure the first women I fell in love with.
Article says they only had a head shot. Welllll, I have more than that. Most of which can't be posted on this site. .
She married Mary Korft, creater of HR Pufenstuf. Sadly she died in April of this year.

Go back and look, I posted up all I dare. Google Image her, there's plenty. I will always think fondly of Christa. She was quite an education for a 10 year old

First boat to ever go 100+ in the 1/4 mile. Only went 97+ in this article, but later was the first boat to exceed 100 in the quarter.
Funny that in the 50's and very early 1960 the flats were the fastest accelerating boats on earth. Took a little while to get a hydro to accelerate like a flat. Even when the hydros did over take the flats, it wasn't by much, for a long time. When jack Davidson's White Mist hydro was hitting 110, Rudy's flat was doing 100.

Olds first to go 100+mph .... must of been good for sales. .. 550hp doesn't seem like much for a blown BB alky motor.

She has the "do" that 2MM was asking about.
Didn't know then, but it appears she was 19 when she was POM/ POY. So at least I was lusting for a teenager, not some old hag in her 20s
