 Naw, I wasn't allowed to cross the street yet when that was taken.  
Comstock's shop was in Venice/Santa Monica. He was the man when it came to outboards. Lot of records set in his day either by him, or by customers.  
That boat is kind of ahead of its time too. Basically a flat bottom, but the hull is layered thin sheets of veneer, not planking. Doable with a small outboard in those days.
