We need to get used to every time there's a shooting the media is automatically going to report that the gun used was a assault rifle, even if it isn't, perception is 99% reality, I wish they would not report anything until they know for sure, bad news reporting.

Problem is that most people don't know what an Assault Rifle technically is. They throw that out for anything other than a handgun.
The reporters should wait bf repeating inaccurate facts.

I agree, my ears and brain get assaulted every time I hear these erroneous reports.

Anyone catch CNN's Brook Baldwin interviewing a hysterical woman and conducting both side of the interview?
I had to turn it off.
