It's a great town. I took a cruise out of New York a few years back that went up the East Coast and we finished there in Montreal. It's a walking town, you really don't need a cab, just start walking, and there are plenty of places too eat and things to do. If you get a chance, take a side trip over to Quebec City. The old town in the center is magical, as the original stone fortress walls are still there, and walking around inside of them around the shops is great fun...and very historical. HAve a great time....lose the eh, and you'll be fine....LOL.....

We'll I have to admit due to several years of the tom brown experience I had some preconceived stereotypes and ideas about Canada and Canadians. First off I was not greeted at the border by a mounty, I have not seen a moose, and not everyone is wearing a leather toque with ear flaps. The French thing is odd, e very one speaks French but the really speak English also and they sure as fuck don't understand Spanish LOL

Lmao they don't speak Spanish! Too funny!
Growing up in LA and always living in larger cities typically when I go anywhere but NY, Vegas and DC everywhere else is a bit desolate in comparison. It appears as though Montreal isn't that bad.
I have a few Canadian friends and all have always been very nice, never combative. In fact, we always tease about how they negotiate things with a BBQ and a drink. Very hospitable and kind.
Can you please post daytime pics? I'd like to see what it looks like. I've never been and, although it's not on my list, I'm curious.
