    I hope I'm wrong, but I think he would have had to back up that run to within 1% for it to be a record. Maybe someone here knows the protocol.

    That's the way NHRA does it, I would assume boat drags are the same.

    The record was officially set at 5.16. The 5.20 from the first pass backed up the 5.16 in the afternoon. The 175mph pass we feel, was erroneous. Our data showed around 165mph. Maybe it happened, but we don't think so. Either way, it was hauling ass!!

    Congratulations. Did you guys do anything different to the boat or engine, or was it just ideal conditions and great driving? That's blazing speed for sure.

    We have had gremlins haunting us all year and we found what they were. We still have a couple issues but the engine was making big power and the water was fast.

    Probably due to some surface coating that floats out the channel.

    A couple other TAF's sounded like they were nosing over at the end of the run. Your's didn't, sounded like it was pulling hard all the way. Nice run
