When we lived in St. Louis we used to watch the races at Creve Coeur Lake, it was great, you could get up close and smell the fuel, always had fun when we would go.

Despite how friggin' HOT it was... we had a GREAT time at the drags in Chandler! We met a lot of super nice people and had fun hanging out with Scarlata's crew! Looking forward to the Havasu race and the finals back in Chandler in Nov.!

Yea, when I first heard this a few months ago I was thinking "do they realize how hot it is in Phoenix for Sept"? Wonder if boat racing sanctions ego's had anything to do with splitting this away from Bayfair or there was a legitimate reason? There seems to be a lot of different factions in boat racing tearing it down instead of promoting it in whole. Boat racing over seas seems to be growing because they are United. I especially like Champ boat racing, but its all but dead in the US.

It was sooooooooooo hot I kept saying, "Why did we drive all this way to melt when we could be at the river???"... and then I remember how much I love to watch the drag boats run, not to mention support the teams we sponsor!!!

I guess there was some issue between Lucas Oil and the people at Bayfair... $$$ related, I'm sure. Maybe they'll send the September race back to Bayfair next year.
