Good, I didn't ruffle the feathers too much.
Fwiw, I pretty much agree with your last post. My experience is zero, but my fan knowledge is more NHRA. I can go rounds with you on NHRA knowledge. :p

Not much aside from pure ignorance bothers me. Asking for credentials is a pretty common question, and outside of work related, not sure I have any. Any I might have I don't wear as a badge, so I probably didn't answer you.
I used to love the drags. Bet I burnt more gas at Lions as a kid than I did on the streets. Every weekend in the late 60s and the entire 70s I was at Lions, Irwindale or OCIR. But I bet I saw Larry Dixon SR make more passes than seen Jr make. Still enjoy going every couple of years to the Winternations, but I don't follow it any more. Still an incredible sight to see though.
But there is only so much time and money, and my interests moved on. I don't really follow Nascar as close as I did, must still try to keep up with it.

On second thought maybe not.

ah come on
I bet I couldn't name more than 2 funny car divers that don't have the last name Force, and maybe 3 top fuel drivers, and 3 Pro Stock. and couldn't tell you where any of them are in the points.

Lol, I'd be same way in Grand Nationals and Crackers, but have profound respect for what all you guys pull at your venues! Are you friends with Rivergames? I just know him from the Internet. I would like to buy you and your crew a round if I'm at a venue your racing!

Like as when Nascar' s most favored son is inline for an expanded chase field?
Kind of reminds me of the Pink Floyd tune, MONEY MONEY MONEY!
Just not sure how Nascar manipulating the field is somehow better than the teams doing it. But then, the team owners aren't the dictators of the phoniest racing on earth.
First I heard of this, been out on the water last few days. Somehow I'm not surprised, to quote DE Sr. " BF Sr. would roll over in his grave".!!

Andrew(Rivergames) runs with the Lucas drag race circuit, and no longer runs APBA events. Long political story, that I have never taken sides with. I am sure each side of the cracker debacle has their reasons for going separate ways. But damn it sure hurt one of the best classes in circle boats. I wish it would end, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
We have stepped back a little from the racing deal. We didn't run at all this year. Last year took its toll on us and we were wiped when it was all over. Was it worth it? Yeah, any time you win a championship and a Hall Of Champions induction you can justify it. But sometimes you would rather be in last place and none of the stress. We found ourselves at each others throats too many times during the year, and the team is all family, so we shut it down for a breather. We may run a couple selected races this year. There are a couple things we would like to accomplish before we hang it up entirely. So we aren't done.
If you see the boat at a race you attend, stop by the pits and say HI!

BF Sr, was a no bullshit guy, and this bullshit. So yes, I agree, he would not be happy. But when BF Sr, was alive, it was 100% pure racing, and now its 100% pure business.
If BF Sr. was alive, Waltrip, and the entire team, plus all of Front Row, yes including Roger Penske, would all be picking BF Sr. size 12 out of their asses.
Not entirely sure how they justified Gordon for the chase. I understand tossing Truex, and installing Newman. But it is a big stretch to suggest that Gordon would have driven himself into the top 10 and made the chase without a win if Bowyer hadn't pull his BS. Gordon was in the top 10 of the chase at one point, but he wasn't even close when Bowyer pulled that shit.
The big benefactor here isn't Newman, its Gordon.
I guess they figured the average nascar fan would have a hard time understanding why the guys that finished 11 and 13 made the chase, but Gordon in 12 didn't. Hey, they are the ones that wrote the rules that way. They should stick by them.

yeah, then why isnpt he wearing a HB hat???
Anybody remember the mystery purple shit in the intake manifold after qualifying at Daytona the first year of MWR?? The crew chief is STILL BANNISHED from Nascar. I guess the indefinite suspension lasted longer than he planned.
MW is not above cheating. His notorious bother even admits to having a NOS bottle strapped to his leg in more than one or two races. It runs in the family.
Any body remember DE Jr spinning out so he could come in and get a tire change and spring adjustment. He was even over heard "dad said sometimes you have to make your own luck." DE Sr cheat, NO WAY!
He never meant to crash anybody out, just rattle their cage a little.
Never was a big fan, but after this deal, I had zero admiration for the guy. I didn't shed a single tear after the Daytona wreck. He knew what he was doing and he paid dearly for it.
About a year after THEE wreck, I had enough of all the wallowing, and had tee shirts made with a number 3 laying on its back and flowers sticking up from the center of the 3, and under it it said GET THE FUCK OVER IT! I sold 100 of those shirts in one weekend.

Hey Carbon our driver made it to the Chase!!!
Can anyone tell me who's signature this is? I've had it quite a few years before I got into NASCAR. It's been sitting in a drawer for awhile.
