So they're not a direct splash, or maybe they were but with a lot of mods? Do the Halletts turn better with the different chines?

I cant honestly say if they were a splash or not i appears that its a highly modified schiada bottom ,when you look at them side by side visually there are alot of differences even in the entry and bow. I have driven and owned both and do not think there is much of a difference in ride or handling example Mike Gs "RexOnes" 21 Schiada and my Hallett are rigged basically identical with the exception of the bottom ,they ride and drive about the same. The Hallett is lighter you can feel it under acceleration and it flexs in rough water The Hallett takes some work getting it off the pad and back in the water going into a fast turn you need to set it down before you enter , hope this helps ...

I keep seeing these Schiadas in the winner's circles of the ski races, over and over. I suppose nobody told these guys about all these superior hulls, of which you speak. I bought a 21 RC that we have thoroughly enjoyed and the people I purchased it from drove away with a license plate "F2 Champ" and it was indeed the world champ who skied behind that old barge of ours.
The best things in life aren't things!

Schiadas and Halletts are what you drive to sit in and watch the Rayson Crafts race.

A good friend had a 22 with twin turbos in Blythe and that was a fast and beautiful boat.

we need a boat to 8 people just to get to the lake with my 3 sons,... economy has them boatless so we have to (get to) haul every one in our boat...
we have to go the cheeper route to own 2 boats ..one for havasu and one for vegas...we currently have a cheetah wild cat being built with a 525 power
and a 240 hallett with 525 power...
my last schiada 22'was powered by a mild built 468, velvet drive w/4% gears...perfect ski set up... the one before 21rc had a billy dunsmore 460 twin turbo, turbo 400 trans.. that boat was cool... it put it on it's nose some where in the 90's... scared the foc out of me... learned real quick to come off the throttle that fast again...
but after riding in Andrews 21 with a wipple got me thinking schiada again...
so would you go bigger C.I., blower , turbo??
Big's boat is bad ass, you need to go for a ride in littles his boat is fun too!
