I have 2('09 Dmax every option), but the grill and hood definately look better on #1. Another benefit to '10 or older is no DEF fluid, although a friend has a '12 and gets better mileage than I do. I agree with others keep yours as long as its mechanically sound.

If you're considering option 2, the bumpers with the fog lights inset look better IMO. Not so large looking. Here's a pic of my bumper.

The old truck looks great and you already said that you're a broke dick. Keep the GMC and put a Brahma Bull on the drivers door!

It came standard on the 2013 LT model. I'm not sure when it changed. Maybe 2013?
