Why you should put lucas upper cylinder lubricant

I wanted to take a moment of your time to show this video of a merc 500 hp cylinder head..

this head came off a 200 hr motor....it was about to hurt a lot of the engine parts,,

 here why......

how many of you know the purpose of leaded gas??

those of you that know the answer, know..... those that don't....are gonna find out.

lead in gas was used to cushion valves and valve seats.. the older motors had softer seats
and if you run unleaded in those motors the valves pounded the seats out and sucked the valves..

so.... when they took the lead out, newer motors ,middle 70's and newer have way harder valve seats
but.... the motors started turning lower rpms,, pre 70's cars ran down the freeway at 3000 plus rpms...

 newer car at 1800 rpms....

so you say, "how does that effect my boat motor"

well, guess what, boat motors are car motors,,, sure they have some different better parts...but...

boat motors are more prone to running with old gas,,you know,.. "this gas is only a year old, should be ok right?"

next, boat motors run at extreme rpms, for long periods of time...

how many of you can run across the lake at 1800 rpms.... or even 3000...

heres where LUCAS comes in...LUCAS has an additive that actually cushions valves, acts as a lead replacement..

it also neutralizes poor quality fuel....

what lucas say's

ok,now we know what will do for you and your boat....but it doesn't stop there...

how many here have a newer motorhome???? if you do then read on ...

the onan generators take just about a month or so of bad gas to plug the idle and start jets,

and guess what, voids warranty,.. if your gen. doesn't start, most likely bad gas..
you take it to onan, plugged carbs not covered,,,

next... motor home engines, like boats, set,..and are called on for extreme duty,..

again,.." I know the gas has been in there for a year, but I'll just take it easy''

it more like,.. the gas is junk,it's gonna play hell with this engine, valve train gonna get an ass whoop'n

so, there you have it....

put some lucas in

Good info. I am getting ready to rebuild a 76 350 and put it in my 65 c-10 I am restoring. I usually run sta-bil in my desert toys and motor home. Do you think Lucas is a good product and should I run it in the truck?
