This is coming from an engine guy.....things that make me go Hmmmmm.....those people who will spend 20. 30 grand on their boat's custom paint, expensive custom trailers, expensive cnc billet everything, most costly stainless hard lines and hoses, billet cased v-drives, etc, etc, then install the cheapest engine to build , in it!

I had a guy try to buy a 347 short block fixings from me today for $1000

I have more than that in line boring/decking/truing and ROUGH bore the cyls MY COST..... this is for his "race car"..... I have at least $5k my cost for a 1000 hp ready short block fixing that is still only partially machined..... (minus oiling system/pan)

The same guy said that "I have a guy" that will come to his house, REMOVE & set up a 9" center section/spool with his new gears, pull axles, drain, REinstall, all for $200......
