They are part of the Kroger chain and they offer fuel points for money spent there - a point for each dollar spent. THEN, they offer 2X or even 4X from time to time, on the purchase of gift cards. If I know I'm going to be doing a project that will cost me a couple hundred dollars at Lowes or shopping at other stores and especially food, I just purchase gift cards to those places and use the gift card rather than pay cash there and score the fuel points in so doing. I still have a full dollar off two different fillups up to 35 gallons left over from December.

I just took a trip to California to visit my daughter and I paid exactly three times what I'd pay in Arizona for my fuel.

Yeah, I use my Kroger(Ralphs) points at the Smiths gas station in Havasu. Here in So Cal you can use the points at most Shell stations. Prescriptions are an automatic 50 points.
Has a 30c discount on this one mid december.

I paid $1.98 for premium at Chevron. But I received a discount to get that price. Safeway grocery stores have a rewards points deal that earn gas discounts at their gas station and Chevron. Think if you spend $150 in the store you get 20 cents per gallon off at the pumps. You don't have to spend that much in one shot and the discount builds as you spend per month. Max is $1 off. But you need to spend $1k per month for that.

Kroger Companies(Ralphs, Frys, Smiths, etc.) has a similar program, .10c off for each $100 spent. Pharmacy prescriptions= $50 each
