    That water is low enough I should take a trip up to find our lower unit. One of those big granite boulders reached up and snapped it off our 55hp Evinrude back in '77. I was only 7 but remember that noise like it was yesterday.

    I have been going to Shaver since 1960...yep, that old...lol The whole neighborhood went...Dorabelle was the only campground...
    Last trip was 2011 when they drained down the lake to repair the dam...this was in October...

    That's good! Ashley was saying that it snowed there last week or so? Does the temp stay pretty cool all year there? Or is that weird for this time of year?

    The snow was unusual but it does stay much cooler up there. About 45 minutes and I can be up there for some relief of the valley heat.
