Friday afternoon me and the gang took a ride up to the crashed F4 Phantom fighter jet to install a plaque on it.
This plane crashed near the end of Shea Road about 13 miles east of Parker Oct 22nd 1975. I have been to this site jillions of times. First time I was there was with my grandfather back in early 1976, I was only 8 years old. One pilot survived and the other crashed to the ground in his ejection seat due to parachute malfunction. I took over 300 photos over the weekend. Here are just a few to share. We had a great time! Did lots of off-roading.
