My plates are 63 1/4" tapering down to 62 1/2" at the back of the plates. The original plates and dropped corners. The Bezer that Billy and I measured at his shop was only narrower (to a race deck Biese) at the transom.

Yep they do have some taper, 63.5" to 62.75".

I guess so. I had no idea until today. He explained a ton of reasons why he did what he did, the logic and testing behind it and the benefits to it. He lost me about 10 seconds into it. All I want to hear him say is "let's go to the lake".
