I'm on a 6-pack on the Dreamer out of Pier Point landing in Long Beach.
Just an over-nighter.....Shooting for White Sea bass in the early first light and if that doesn't yield results, then its yellow tail...
Keeping my fingers crossed for the Sea Bass though.....

Right on! Heard the Yellows are biting on the back side of Catalina. Sea bass are elusive little bastards! Good luck!

Never caught a Sea Bass so I am hoping to get my first. From what I understand, patience is key with the WSB...
Last weekend Yelows were wide open and they were catching tuna at the Tanner Bank and Cortez....Think this is going to be an awesome year for fishing if water temps are this warm in March...Maybe El Nino is in fact here this year...

Not bad....No WSB as there is no squid in the water. All the squid is in Oregon.
We ended up fishing Clemente. Ended up with a boat of yellow tail, calico, Bonita (all got thrown back), a couple Cudas and some grouper.
It was more or less scratch fishing but hell it was a day on the water so it was fun.
Im getting ready to pull the trigger on a 4-day trip out of San Diego in late aug.

Right on. I'll take yellow tail any day! A 4-day trip will get you some awesome fishing!
