Man, about 20 years ago, for 3 weeks straight I walked the streets of Santa Monica, around the civic center and the 3rd Street Promenade, looking for a Peter Criss imposter. The Enquirer was being sued by Criss because they ran a story about him being a homeless drunk running around the streets of Santa Monica. When I finally paid an informant for good info on the guy...they settled the trial.

Have gone there recently and they really cleaned the place up. Dare I say, it makes Newport look like the slums.
