I wish I was a bartender. An 8 hour shift would be considered long. I can listen to people bitch and complain about their problems and not give a fuck bc I don't have to fix it. I can be around alcohol all day. I can decide to cut off someone and kick them out at my discretion, odds are they will come back tomorrow. I can ignore people by pretending I don't hear them. I can hear all the my wife/husband/lover sucks stories and laugh. I won't take my work home with me, with the exception of a bottle of wine. No one expects me to help them and I get paid based on my attire.
