I love the bacon from staters you get at the meat counter, hard to beat.

So I went to buy bacon tonight it's very expensive, so hey I'll try the meat counter on your suggestion, less expensive than prepackaged. OMG Becky, it's the bomb! No contest between the two.

Hmm baking it. Do you leave it uncovered? If you do not, then does the grease get all over the inside of the oven?

Costco has a Pre-cooked package, where you can warm it in the oven. We took it when we were traveling a couple times when we had an oven and it is actually pretty damn good. You can even warm it in the micro wave and it still turns out crispy. I use that one when I dont want to buy the fresh one when traveling.

I only buy bacon from the butcher counter now...I couldn't believe how much better it was after trying it...1 lb is roughly 15 slices and from Albertsons it was only 4.99, at least thats what it was this weekend. Had it on burgers and it was BOMB!
