My friend John (in the shorts)... he is a 30+ year veteran of doing offroad Allison transmission rebuilds (among all other types of car/truck transmissions).
He is posing in front of his prized possesion, a "30 horsepower St Mary's compression engine" made in St Charles Missouri... I am going to be posting this monster up on an eBAY auction for him...

The big tank on the back is a riveted tank for compressed air, there is a Fairbanks Morse pup engine that runs a Fairbanks Morse air compressor that fills the tank. To start the engine you use the compressed air to get the engine spinning and then by hand engage the intake valve and switch the cam/followers into four cycle mode.
