I'm sure he'd trade you his berries for your melons.

I'm not sure how to get the fresh berries to Cali. The fruit Nazis at the border check points would probably confiscate them. I thought I was going to jail because I had an apple core in the trash bag and they saw it. Sweet talk Bruce into bringing some out when they come in season.
