Yeah well, since I ended up baby sitting a sick horse throughout the night, I watched it from start to finish. Whoo hoo, lol.

Was pretty neat to see what a close-by, red planet would like like.

How do you baby sit a horse? What are you afraid will happen without you there?

Yes, the horse is fine. The 25 degree temperature spikes sometimes sends him into a Colic condition, which means he has a belly ache and wants to roll and thrash about. But, horses have so many feet of intestines that rolling can twist the intestines, causing death within hours. At least, that's been the theory for umpteen years. We had a horse a few years back die in a matter of hours, it can be serious and is the leading cause of death in horses.

So, I injected him with some meds, walked him around..and around...and around, and watched until the urge to roll went away.

So yeah, the moon deal was an added bonus. Will have to wake the daughter up tonight for round two, like a ruhtard I didn't take any pics.

Thanks for the explanation. Learned something early today. Guess I can go back to bed.

OK, here is my attempt at shooting the Lunar Eclipse last night. It was tricky because I had to keep changing exposure and settings as more of the moon got covered up. I tried to get more of the orange color, but couldn't make that happen until there it was about 75% covered due to the bright white blowing out the exposure.

I am going to try and figure out how to make this into a GIF as well, but for now they are in order starting just before 11pm and ending at 12:15am

    Enjoy.
