Redondo Beach, CA - The Southern California Speedboat Club (S.C.S.C.) is proud to present Sprint Boat racing at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino. Join S.C.S.C. and The Blue Water Resort & Casino in putting on this prestigious American Power Boat Association sanctioned event along the Colorado River. Race fans will be treated to an exciting two day event watching thrilling Sprint Boat Racing featuring some of the fastest boats in the nation.
The schedule will feature Round # 3 of the Grand National Racing Series featuring the big bad “Blown” Grand National Endurance Boats and point battle is red hot between the #369 of Heath Hiebert, Bellflower, CA fresh off his win at the 67th Annual Thanksgiving Regatta and the 2013 defending National Champion, David Rankin, driving the #44 Ecology Auto Parts Special for Darren Sousamian. The Western Formula Light Series stop # 2 will feature a tough field of competitors from across the Western United States led by the defending series champion #93 R.J. West, Skelton Racing, Valencia, CA . The Super Stock, Pro Stock, K Racing Runabouts and Crackerbox flatbottoms will duke it out as the racers in each of these classes will be racing for the 2014 points Championship. The Comp Jets are always a crowd favorite with plenty of tight, deck to deck racing action. Classic Outboard Runabouts will be on hand to race their modified V bottom outboard boats. The newest class of racing flatbottoms, Sportsman E Runabout, GPS 95 Flatbottoms and River Racer Jet will be back to put on a great show for the crowd. Last but certainly not least, the best Stock Outboard Racers from across the Western part of the country return to the Blue Water Resort & Casino to get set to compete!

Top racers from all over the country will test their driving talents against other drivers and the waters of the Colorado River. There will be great racing action as all racers will be competing for their chance at victory!

Come and enjoy this annual spectacle of boat racing at the prestigious Blue Water Resort & Casino. Admittance is free! Spectator parking is in the Resort parking lot area above the beach, please, no spectator vehicles will be allowed in the pits. So, grab some sunscreen and treat the family to this annual event on the river! Racing gets underway at 9:00 a.m. both days!!!

Friday, April 4th
8:00 am – 6:00 pm - Pits open to race teams
10:00 am – 6:00 pm - Registration/*Check In- River’s Edge Cantina (Patio)

Saturday, April 5th
6:30 am – 8:00 am- Late Registration/Check In- River’s Edge Cantina (Patio)
8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.- Driver’s Meeting (mandatory for all driver’s)
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.- Spring Classic Regatta

Sunday, April 6th
7:30 am – 8:00 am- Late Registration/Check In- River’s Edge Cantina (Patio)
8:00 am – 8:45 am - Driver’s Meeting (mandatory for all driver’s)
9:00 am – 5:00 pm- Spring Classic Regatta
5:30 pm - Awards Ceremony - River’s Edge Cantina (Patio)

(Note: All teams must check in to receive credentials, including all crew members that will be in the pits during race weekend. 1 vehicle pass with entry.)

Physically he is doing ok, badly banged up leg and severed finger which was reattached. The emotional recovery will take much longer.
