WHY are you running an electric fuel pump??
I was running a mechanical and an electric together. When the boat sank on the trailer the electric one got destroyed and the mechanical one is due for a rebuild. So instead of rebuilding and buying a new $300 pump to fix what I had, I bought a Weldon pump. Number one reason for the Weldon is, it's made in the USA. Number two for the Weldon is, I'm planning on converting to EFI soon. The Weldon works for both carbs and EFI with only a regulator change. Number three for the Weldon is, it's warrantied for life.
Almost sank. Got it on the trailer just as water came over the transom.
So the exhaust used to exit through the transom under the water line. I was coming back from steamboat to Black Meadow it sounded very strange when I slowed to an idle. Looked in the back and the 4.0" exhaust hose was destroyed and you'd be amazed at how fast water can fill a boat though a 4" hole plus the water exiting the engine. Wife jumps out, runs to get the trailer, I head to the ramp. There was so much water it the boat already that the blower belt was throwing it around like a geyser. Motor stalls, my friend was already there following me around to the ramp, so we tie to his boat and he stars towing me. His boat is a jet boat and those squirt pumps can't pull the weight for shit so we couldn't get it on plane to have the water start to drain while we're moving. It just kept filling more and more. wife gets the trailer in the water buddy does this rodeo maneuver and swings me into the the trailer. We get it cranked on and down she went. Filled that fucker with water all the way to an inch under the breathers. That was the third time I've had an issue with it, so now you understand the 2 stage pump and filling the transom and merging the exhaust.
Wow, I just got a visual... :) I'm thinking the middle two holes working in sequence and then the outside two holes coming in next... Versus front to back or back to front...
Injectors under the blower on the manifold (port injection)??? I would think that with port injection the engine wouldn't care too much what sequence you open the holes on top of the blower, unsure... A progressive set up would be good...

There are already mechanical injection setups converted, I know this. However the butterfly's still are on the same shaft and not very drive-able. So whats the point of EFI with these setups? If each butterfly is adjustable to the amount of travel it has and when it starts opening then it makes sense. You can control your CFM's and when they flow. And yes I know, why go through all the trouble when you can just bolt a couple 4150 throttle bodies on there and be done with it? Because they're not old school cool, that why.
Had the same thing happen in a 23ft Hallett Day Cruiser. Noticed it at the landing and made a go for to Windsor. It took out the alternator, and with the bilge running and the HEI, the battery was going south fast. Like you said, it is amazing how fast that can fill a boat.
