Redondo Beach, CA November - For the past 69 years, The Southern California Speedboat Club Sprint Boats have been roaring to life around an 1 ¼ mile oval course laid out on Lake Moovalya on the Colorado River in Parker, AZ. This year marks a historic milestone as The Southern California Speedboat Club (SCSC) will hold their 70th annual Thanksgiving Regatta at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino. The race will feature 15 classes of some of the fastest sprint boats, both Inboard and Outboard in the nation.

The 2016 The Blue Water Resort & Casino. Classes set to race for the historic event are: Grand Nationals, 6 Liter Displacement boats, Sportsman Extreme (SE), Super Stocks Pro, Pro Stocks, K Racing Runabout Pro, Crackerbox Pro, Comp Jets, Classic Endurance, Formula Lights, Mod VP Classic and the Sportsman Limited Stock Outboard classes.

The 70th Annual Thanksgiving Regatta starts on Friday November 25th, at The Bluewater Resort & Casino beach. Racing begins at 9:00 a.m. and should last until 4:30 each day. So come out and celebrate 70 great years of sprint boat racing on Thanksgiving on the Colorado River!
The admission is free. Please park in the upper Casino Parking lot and come on down to the beach area to take in all the excitement that Sprint Boat Racing has to offer!

Course Info: Jr. Hydroplane & Sportsman Limited Stock Outboard Classes: two (2) 3 lap heats/day, Formula Lights: two (2) - 10 laps heats on Sat. and 25 lap final Sunday on an approx. 7/8 mile course. All others: Approx. 1-1/4 mile course; Sportsman Extreme, GPS100, Crackerbox, Super Stock, Pro Stock, K Racing Runabout Pro, 6 Liter displacement - two (2) 3 lap qualifiers and one (1) – 3 or 4 lap final (tbd). Per day. GN- two (2) 10- Lap heats on Sat. and 20 lap final. Comp Jets Classic Endurance – two (2) – 4 laps heats/day.Mod VP Classic- two (3) 4 or 5 lap heats (tbd)/day.

Safety / Rescue: Team Rescue

Entry Fees:
All CLASSES except Jr. Hydroplane & Sportsman Limited Outboard Classes, $125/day or $250 Weekend Fee. 2nd class fee is $100/day. Late Fee is $50/class. Jr. Hydroplane $50/day, Sportsman Limited Stock Outboard Classes $80/day 1st class, $50/day 2nd class, $30/day 3rd class

Note: $50 late fee applied for all entries received after 11/22/16, including any registering at event on 11/24, 25 & 26/16. Late fee not waived for out of State owners/drivers. NOTE: Registration Form MUST be sent PRIOR TO TUESDAY 11/22 to AVOID LATE FEE!!

Awards: 11/26/16 – Inside Resort/Casino - 8 p.m.Trophies presented to overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in all competition classes where more than 4 or more entries. Less than 3 entries, 1st place trophy awarded.
