I wouldn't give you 25,000 for a POS Eleeeeenor.
If I won the Cal lottery, I'd be at the Equus dealer tomorrow. You haven't a clue. But then, we all already knew that.

That thing looks way better than what the current mustang has evolved into. What are the specs?

How fuckin' original.......take the lines of a 66 Mustang Fastback, add the interior of a 2012 Mustang and put a chevy Z06 driveline underneath.........how fuckin creative can one man get :rolleyes
I'm thinking you could build a pretty nice version of this from the parts listed above for about $125-150K less money

It's like taking an Eliminator and "tweaking" it a little bit and then charging 10 times as much.....Oh wait DCB already did that.

Looks more like a 68 to me (or even a 70). The '65 and '66 have a flat trunk...

A little 68 and a little 69/70.
Front is more 69 Camaro than anything else.

Take a Ford Galaxy engine and stuff it in a tube framed aluminum body. Now how original was that?
Oh be nice........DCB also added a "Rollover" mode......that's gotta be worth something :yikes:
As "standard" equipment no less.

You'd think Ford would sue them.....Didn't GM Pontiac Div and BMW get into a suit over a grill design on the Grand Prix? This looks really blatant

To me, to my eyes, it's a mustang. It's an automotive splash of a mustang. Take it and change it just enough so that it's not an exact match, but it's still a splash of a mustang. Sorry GN7, with all due respect sir, you couldn't give me. I like original...and I also like Camaro's... ;)

That would be an interesting read.

Its too old. The "look" is public domain.
Pontiac was treading on an on going but still "current" "look" But I agree. But them BMW was the one that got their panties in knot. Pretty snooty asswipes those BMW clowns.
If the whiners at Harley could sue Suzuki over a sound and win, anything is possible in the fucked up litigation society.

Over a sound?? I don't get it...could you please explain sir?
You'd be surprised who all was involved with the Equus. There's little more going there than some Austin Healy wannabe with a V8 stuffed in it

I actually think it's a pretty cool car. Looks like a Mustang/Challenger mash-up to me. Most of the car folks I know hate it...but I truly do like it.
Just couldn't give that kind of money for it...

Now you're talking! Only Ford I would own!
Bruce, I'd take this over all of them.
Of course you would. A friend, the son of the guy that drove Marion Beaver's Gummy's Ghost hydro, just sold one of 4 he has, that won the Knott's Berry Farm show 3 years for best non restored.
But it would cost you a little more than the Equus. It sold for 350,000. Mecum recently sold one for a little over 400,000.
Not to bad for a under carbed, hyd cammed engine that drives like a rolling trash can due to the relocated front suspension pivots. No Boss ever beat its sibling 429 SCJ in a head up race. They could barely edge out a 428 SCJ.
But, when less than 1500 of them made, the price for them does tend to get uppity.
But, if you gave me one, I would keep it.

The front end of the Equus looks like the Avanti designers did the design...

Over a sound?? I don't get it...could you please explain sir?
Harley Davidson believes that their motor design and the sound it creates was copyright-able and they did so. When Suzuki first made their v-twin engine, HD sued them for copyright infringement. The HD design is one that back in the day people said would never work with 2 jugs going up and down in unison with a heavily counter-weighted crankshaft. But in 1908 Mr. H and Mr. D didnt know any better (and they still dont!) and a v-twin was born.... Thats what makes the lug lug sound of HD's!
