Redondo Beach, CA November 2012- For the 67th time, The Southern California Speedboat Club Sprint Boats have been roaring to life around an 1 ¼ mile oval course laid out on Lake Moovalya in Parker, AZ. Once again, the Southern California Speedboat Club (SCSC) is staging their 67th annual Thanksgiving Regatta at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino. The race will feature 16 classes of the fastest sprint boats, both Inboard and Outboard in the nation.

The 2014 APBA (American Powerboat Racing Association) season get’s underway with the very first race of the 2014 season at the Blue Water Resort & Casino. Classes set to race for the historic event are: Round 1 for the K Racing Runabouts, Grand National Racing Association Series, Super Stocks, Pro Stocks, Crackerboxes, Comp Jet class, Classic Outboard Runabouts and the limited Stock Outboard Hydroplane classes.

The 67th Annual Thanksgiving Regatta starts on Friday November 29, 2013 at the Bluewater Resort & Casino beach. Racing begins at 9:00 a.m. and should last until approximately 4:30 each day. There will be a free concert on Friday night at the Amphitheater, so come out and celebrate 67 great years of Thanksgiving weekend racing! The admission is free. Please park in the Casino Parking lot and come on down to the beach area to take in all the excitement that Sprint Boat Racing has to offer!

Race Teams:

You can set up Wednesday or Thursday as the pits are already lined out.

Registration will be going on Thursday in room 1025 patio (ground floor facing the Marina closest to the entrance to pool area) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.- All driver's, owners, families, crew please check in with Jeannie and staff to get your credentials, parking pass, etc.

Registration/safety inspection will resume on Friday at 6:30 a.m. and end at 7:55 a.m. at the Cantina Patio area.
Note: Please do not get in line at 7:50, please arrive early with all paperwork ready to go.

Note: Please make sure when you go to registration that you bring all your paperwork filled out and signed including your entry, APBA membership (if you already joined, please bring your receipt as proof of joining otherwise you will fill out the paperwork and leave a check, APBA doesn't accept credit cards for onsite registration).

There is NO Testing on Thursday on the course in front of the Resort, you can go up river and test at your own discretion.

Capsule training is at 6:00 a.m. (sharp) on Friday morning at the lower pool. Please be there on-time.

Driver's meeting is Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Cantina patio.

It's shaping up to be a great race with a lot of boats! Don't forget about the free concert right after the races on Friday at the amphitheater!
