Yeah got home a little while ago. Unbelievable traffic. Also made the mistake of waiting till State Line to eat. Subway line was a mile long. Then there was the task of getting in line to get back on the freeway LOL. But at least I didn't make the same mistake as a few dozen campers who decided they wanted to off road it on the East side of the freeway. They put on a great show lol.

Lol, you guys are only seeing the pretty parts. Farmington has 3 rivers that converge and there is World class trout fishing upriver. It is beautiful!

On the other hand George Lucas or Mad Max would kill to shoot a movie at the job-site, it's that bad. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, even the badlands would make for some cool camping/off-roading/partying in the winter months. ;)

I can be, but only for fun. I'm in management, but it's still fun getting out on grade. That's a 336 trackhoe, a D8T, and 2 D9T's in that pic.

View from the other side. The D9 in the back had 0 hours on it when they brought it out. It's nice too! Air conditioned seats, stereo, and all kinds of electronics. Very different from the old machines.

Parked it and everyone was wondering who dressed up the yard so nice the next day. The joystick machines are all kinds of fun! I do some project management and estimating, some business development. Having lots of fun anyway.

The blade would shake as they'd go rolling by on the haul roads. I love big yellow iron. Started as a kid and haven't been able to shake it.

Here's a funny for you, yesterday the inspector told me the scrapers are going too fast and it's going to cause liquifaction. I asked wtf does that mean, after he explained I said oh it might start pumping huh? Told him we need a change order if he wants the scrapers to slow down, lol.

Gotta love inspectors and some of the nonsense they come up with. If a scraper isn't in top gear running flat out, it's time to find another operator. They're made to jump into the cut WFO, load out, and get back to WFO.

There is always time to come by and meet up.. Next Parker race is Friday/Saturday thanksgiving weekend. Hope you can make it!! If not, the following one will be April, again. That was a tough race for us all. The Thanksgiving race is actually the race that starts our season over again.
