all arizona physicians are not qualified to handled problem if your hurt go to cal or vegas IMHO

for those who don't know me I've been on crutches for over two years. I finally found a dr . that would believe me that it is my knee causing my problem not my back. the bone and ct scans showed the joint was loosened and has shifted in the bone causing fractures. I now have an appointment with a physician in phoenix who specializes in difficult cases . there is an outside chance that the joint is infected and that's what caused the loosing and fractured bones. I go july the 13 and i'm asking for prayers as this could go anywhere from replacing the joint and repairing the fractures , to dealing with an infection, to using cadaver parts to rebuild my right leg to amputation. it had to be the right the one i use to drive the boat and other toys. Thank you for letting me vent as this has been driving me crazy. I know there are some good ones in phoenix and even here in havasu i'm just frustrated

Very very sorry to hear that sir, hang in there... I can relate to your frustration...

I've been told by Wash U. ortho specialists that my his are shot, BOTH of them... My primary says NOOO, your too young to have your hips replaced... My original Ortho surgeon that I trust fully, told me from the get go that I just need a touch up to fix an impingement on both sides, birth defect... IDK what to think about all of this CRAP with the docs...

Meanwhile for 3 years now I live / sleep in non stop pain...

As with any field of practice, you'll get those who can actually find and cure the problem rather than treat the symptom. My daughter is a Physician's Assistant and she'll be the first to admit medicine has many patch and release specialists. On the other hand, there's a good many who are truly expert at determining the real problem and getting down to the solution. I certainly hope you have found one of them so you can get relief.

I shouldn't of painted all arizona physicians with such a broad brush. I know there are many dedicated physicians it was just frustration speaking. If it wasn't for the physician in havasu finding the problem and referring me to a specialist in a expedient manor I still would have not know the proplem. so i apologize to all the fine dedicated arizona physicians for my rant.

Seems to be a problem across the country. Thank your lucky stars if you get a good doctor. Nothing worse than knowing where and what is causing your pain, and the doctor doesn't take the time or flat out won't listen to you. The one that really gets me is the referral by doctor to a specialist and specialist turns out to be a POS.

That's why it's called practicing medicine. Be informed of options, which is easy these days with the internet and medical forums, and find a doctor who is willing to listen to what your body is telling you. The treat and street guys seem to outnumber the ones who actually listen and try and fix the problem. I didn't make many friends with the medical staff when I was in the hospital a few years ago with a MRSA infection. I figure it's probably because I knew more than they did. Amazing that a microbiology lab science class at ASU could be so helpful down the road. Stay on top of it and don't quit until you're satisfied with the outcome. It's frustrating, but at the end of the day you've gotta be satisfied with the outcome, not the doctors, and certainly not the insurance companies who only care about saving money.

AFTER a five + week wait to get into see the "specialist"...

IF the hospitals, specialists, labs were forced to compete and run efficiently to survive, they wouldn't...
