Kap did you boat at night?? Just curious how long you were on the water during the day and if you made it back before nightfall?

I would imagine since its more of a river, getting lost would be tough. Or would it?

Well we usually head out around 10:00 A.M. everyday and with summer days that makes for a long day of boating. I usually made it back early like around 5:30 or 6:00 P.M. The rationale is to get a good parking place at the marina. Parking is tough for a fully capped outboard boat from the paint damage to wing plates sticking out on the back. Plus, I do not drink and boat so I want to put the boat up and have my first cocktail and relax for the evening festivities that go on all night.

I would not be comfortable boating at night with a crew not my cup of tea.

Nice work KAP! Seeing those tables covered in crawfish is making my mouth water. Love cajun food!

Thank you Jeff. I've been on a couple lakes and rivers at night under the moonlight and it was amazing. I don't know if I'd try it on a body of water I was unfamiliar with, but I guess that all depends.

When it's super dark and the moon is super bright, you don't need lights. It's kinda like flying at night, which I actually prefer to flying during the day simply because you can see all the planes so much sooner. Granted boating is different, but not that much different.

    Kap?

Well when I have the responsibility of a crew. I almost always do not boat at night. On a pontoon cruising at night in the Bayou would be amazing even more so with a spotlight I hear all the critters are out.

We were witness to all kinds of wildlife at the Funhouse and it was far more entertaining .

The Cajun food is hard to beat I spoke to Joey this morning and told him LOTO is also an amazing venue but the food of South Louisiana cannot be beat. That is saying a lot. I would also challenge anyone to point out a poker run with better food than South Louisiana. If you have one...let me know. I will come and visit at the first opportunity.
