    Drag Boat News:

JOEL WEBER HAS A "PROBLEM CHILD" ON HIS HANDS

There is exciting news within the Eddie Knox Racing Team. Multi-time champion and TAH world record holder Joel Weber, formerly of Bob Pizza’s “What A Tomato”, has officially signed on for the 2015 season of the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series as the driver of “Fast” Eddie’s “Problem Child” TFH drag boat.
Weber was offered the chance to drive a single race late last year, after long-time driver Daryl Ehrlich was let go after a frustrating and disappointing 2014 season. He accepted and took the seat for the L.O.D.B.R.S. Finals in Chandler, AZ. “He jumped in and drove the boat, right off the bat,” said Knox. “I was taking baby steps because I really didn't want to hit it that hard on our first outing but now I look back… I should’ve! He took right to it. We (the team) were ecstatic!”
Weber took the off-season to handle family obligations, enjoy the holidays and to do some “serious soul-searching” to decide whether or not to return to the race circuit. Then last weekend, Weber flew from Kansas City, MO out to visit the EKR facilities in Southern California. After seeing the new boat and discussing plans for 2015 (and enjoying the Super Bowl at Knox's residence), Weber “accepted the opportunity to drive a really fun hot rod!” said Knox.
Together, Knox, Weber and the EKR Team look forward to a better and successful winning season. “We’re really excited about our chances this year. We’re looking forward to getting our ring back,” said Knox.
The L.O.D.B.R.S. kicks off at their new venue in Parker, AZ in front of the Bluewater Casino on April 10-12, followed by the race in Chandler, AZ at the end of the month. Best of luck to EKR and the rest of the race teams competing this year.

Looking forward to the new venue in Parker ..... little disappointing to see Daryl go but he had a good run. I like they way Knox describes his boat, as a really fun hot rod ...maybe a little understated ..lol

At this time, I do know that Bluewater is sold out per some of my clients. The cabanas on the beach are just about gone also. RV spots are going away very fast. The track will run NORTH/UPRIVER. The pits will be in the Southeast side of the Casino in the employee parking lot. In ramp is the ramp in the main marina. When I receive more info I will pass on. LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!

Just spoke with Lucas, and the RV spots are 750 with a cabana or 500 without.

So can I assume a cabana by itself is $250?
