I'm not going to get into politics, as in what's happening in the U.S. I do live in the U.S. part time, but as a Canadian its not my place to criticise American politicians. Will say, have more experience with liberalism and socialism then Americans. Can say, neither work. I mean we've had socialized medicine in Canada since the 1950's, its been a total failure. I'll give a real life example. My mother has allergies, affects the eyes real bad. She gets prescription eye drops. She has to go to her doctor every 3 months for a new prescription. She also has high blood pressure. Also see's the same doctor for that and prescription medication. The doctor can't do both at once, he must make two appointments. Even worse, under her eye lid, she has some redness and irritation under her eye. Doctor is having her see a specialist. This was back in August and her specialist appointment isn't until the 28th of this month. Yes, that's how long it takes to see a specialist in Canada. Have another example, my Dad had kidney stones, took two GP visits, 3 months for a specialist and year and half for the surgery. Even life threatening doesn't make the system move faster. What if my Mom has skin cancer, god forbid. That's three months of not being treated! Id rather pay as I go then this free BS

Thanks for the info, hope your parents get healthy, nothing more important than your health.

Anyone can look at any socialist country in Europe and you can see how its doesn't work and it's failing, why would we want to take America down that path, hard work and capitalism is what has made this country great.

Thanks for the well wishes. My Mom should be o.k. My did still has some kidney pain troubles but is fine now. Its just the waits here kill people. My bet if Clinton wins, her Obama care fix will be universal health care. On one hand, it does suck going to the doctor in the states and suddenly be faced with a giant bill. In Canada we don't see fundraisers to pay for a kids cancer treatments. But on the other hand, waiting months for treatments and doctors appointments sucks even more.

I totally agree about capitalism. It works. In fact its the only system that really works. I was called a jerk by a liberal friend. Why? One of the few charities I will donate money is the YMCA and Scout organizations. Both groups teach good citizenship and more importantly work ethic. Scouts sell things like cookies for their trips. The YMCA has a work program. They put youth in paid internships at businesses. I won't give to charities that give kids trips and activities with no work on the kids part. My Dad grew up in poverty, parents had low paying jobs. Back in his day, poor kids got real jobs for things. It wasn't uncommon for 11 year olds to work in grocery stores in the 1950's. Johnsons war on poverty changed that. Other countries like Canada followed suit. Now in Canada, most minimum wage jobs are guest workers from other countries. We need to get back, kid wants fancy sneakers and designer jeans, get a real job.

Here's one big difference between the left and right,

the right is OK with others having their own opinions and ideas and won't attack people for their beliefs

but if anyone doesn't agree with a liberal, you're either a jerk, a racist or any other nasty name they want to call you.

That's one of the biggest things that disturbs me the most about liberals.

It is true. I've been told I'm black hearted, cruel, A-hole, racist and jerk, etc. My favorite though is idiot! Got that one the other day about climate change. Cousin said how can someone in my family be such an idiot! I pointed out the climate data for my area, the average temps in all seasons have not changed since 1981!

This global warming thing is such a farce, until someone can get two of the biggest polluters (India and China) to clean their chit up, it doesn't matter what America does, we can stop using fossil fuels 100% and until we can get the rest of the world to clean their act up it will mean nothing.

All the things libs want to do will raise prices and put people out of work and the rest of world just keeps on polluting, like most things this administration has done, they've accomplished very little, while the other counties just laugh at us.

Another joke is all the hollywood elite telling all us normal people to reduce our carbon footprint, while they're flying around in their private jets and living in 10-15K sq ft houses, what a bunch of chit.

Funny how the globe rolls. We (the US) ban coal, put limitations, restrictions or taxation on "polluting industry" only to procure, buy, or import those same items, products, etc. from countries who don't have the same or similar restrictions or laws. Ironic isn't it?

We don't want industry in the US. We don't want manufacturing. We don't want pollution. Hell In California, we don't even want to see power plants. But we all run like fools to Walmart to buy that crap thats made in Countries who don't give a shit about pollution, workers well being, or anything else for that matter. Californians don't care that their State is running off a 300mi extension cord, and that neighboring State is burning Coal or "polluting" far beyond California's "emission limits". Fools. Do you really think the air will stop at the State line?

As far as the "tree huggers" 99.9% of them are full of shit. Do as I say but don't do as I do. I'm better than you and I'm spreading the good message, so my carbon footprint doesn't matter. Holier than thou fools! Until these morons prove to me they don't have a carbon footprint they can all eat shit.

I'm not perfect. But I do my best to buy American. I do my best to support American Workers, American Products, and American Companies. And I could give a flying fuck about Hollywood weirdos who proclaim to be saving the planet and urge the rest of us to do the same while they have a carbon footprint thats more than likely 10-1000X bigger than ours. They can all pound sand.
