    Hello,

I am Brian Samaniego and I am the Skier looking for a boat and driver. First off, I want to say thank you to Eli for stepping up and offering to help me out and starting this thread. I really apreciate it. She asked me to post some stuff about me so here we go...I'm 31 and live in Fullerton

I started Ski Racing at the 2008 Us Open in San Diego.
    - Skied Novice and got an overall 2nd for the weekend and
    - Skied Hands out front and also got 2nd for the weekend.
I have since placed or won in every race I have skied in at the U.S. Opens

I went into the 2009 season Skiing the Sr. Men (25-35men) age class and have been skiing that class ever since (races are 45-50min in duration).
    - I have been and held the high point skier for that class since 2009.

My Catalina Ski race experience started in 2009 and have been skiing the over and back class. My best time coming back from the Island has been right at about the
    30min mark.
    -2013 - 3rd in class
    -2012 - 2nd in class
-2011 - was sick and only observed
    -2010 - 3rd
    -2009 - 2nd

The Over and Back class is fun but I really want to do the whole race this year. I want to ski the Sr. Men class, which historically, has had about 4 skiers in the class in the last 5 years. My goal is to have a time of 1 hr 15min or less and be on the podium for trophy's. I have been doing training runs either to the Island or back, and will start doing full runs hopefully this weekend behind a 21' boat. I am physically and mentally fit and will give 110%.

My Observer and I will take care of Entry fees and help with or pay fuel as well.

So if anyone is interested, Let's Go Race!!!

    Thank you

    You're very welcome!

You're such an accomplished skier. That's a very impressive career. I'm going to keep putting the word out for you and guide people to your post for your impeccable stats!

Good luck on your first full ski run to and from Catalina this weekend!
