Where is Oma from? Sounds like she is from my parents neck of the woods. Both my parents were from Breslau Germany which is now Wroklow Poland. See if she knows the city.
Seriously such a cool deal. I wish I could have done something like this with my grandparents. They meant the world to me. My cousin had enough smarts to do this with my grandmother. So lucky. I always envied her for doing that. Good for you buddy. Something either of you will ever forget. Good job!!

He is lucky for sure. My son traveled with my parents most summers but not europe. Lots of Westfalia camping.

Originally Danzig which is now Gdansk Poland. She was there before escaping a work camp with my Great grandma. She does know Breslau, said she was not there but her mom was there and had a good friend in the hospital there with TB back in the day.
So we were a half hour late landing and customs took about 1.5 hours. Finally got our car and were off.
I tell you, driving on the left side takes some getting used to and is def nerve wracking. Will post some pics in a few. Phone is charging.
Stonehenge is tomorrow and then off to Port Isaac where they film a TV show my grandma watches called "Doc Martin" on PBS. Fri off to London for a few days.
