Including your 6.8 that makes seven calibers...

Oh, I forgot, I sold all of mine yesterday at the gun show so I have none... I would love to get one to cycle properly with the conventional direct impingement set up in .17HMR...

Edit: Alexander Arms has a 17HMR upper but I dont know if it is a blowback bolt or if it uses D.I. gas action to cycle.

They also have a .50 Beowulf and 6.5 Grendel... Seems I recall someone making a custom lower to hold a .45ACP magazine so I looked that up and Olympic arms sells a barrel/kit for that...

    That makes 11 calibers...
I've seen uppers chambered in .204 ruger. I'm tempted to do one of those with a heavy barrel and scope.

204 would be bad azzzzzzzzzz... I always thought my 22-250 was the meanest small caliber until my friend built his 243 AR with 55gr bullets (around 3800-3900fps at the muzzle)... Unfortunately a 22-250 is a tad too long to fit in the AR15 platform...

How ar you feeling lately DJ?

I wonder how a 6X284 would work in the AR receiver. I know they fit in the magazine, but the bolt would need to be reworked. They cook coming out of a 700bdl. Shame I sold it.

From Chuck Hawks site... I didnt see any info on OAL and im not familiar with that round

With 75-85 grain bullets the 6mm-284 makes an awesome varmint cartridge, similar to the .240 Weatherby. The Hodgdon Data Manual 26 shows that 51.0 grains of H4831 can drive an 80 grain varmint bullet to a MV of 3397 fps; 55.0 grains of H4831 delivers a MV of 3683 fps with the same bullet.

It is an amazing little round. 2.94 over all length. With a .55 gr bullet you can get over 4000 fps out of one. I mean it was an amazing little round. I kinda miss that rifle.

Jesse James started a firearms company. He is building AR's and 1911's. That is one of his AR's, 20" Nomad.
