    F**k Cancer!!!!

Over the past few months I have come to the realization that more people than I thought are effected by Cancer. It often breaks my heart to hear the stories of the pain and struggles each person who is diagnosed with this unfortunate disease goes through. I can't begin to fathom how difficult it must be for their loved ones. Throughout this year alone I read the terrifying stories from diagnosis to recovery from several people in the boating community, Djunkie, thatguy's wife, NRI, among other people. Yesterday, when I learned that Grads kicked Cancer's ass, it dawned on me that there was a chance I would never have met any of these wonderful people, NRI is the only one I have not had the pleasure to meet yet. I felt absolutely helpless and anyone who knows me, knows helpless is not a position I am comfortable in. So, I decided that I, along with your help, am going to make a difference. My goal today is awareness. If more people are aware, then more people can get screened and catch this vicious disease before it spreads too far.

I decided that I will run the San Diego Half Marathon on March 9, 2014. I will wear a shirt bearing the names of all those I am honoring and remembering as I run the 13.1 miles. I would be privileged to include the names of anyone who is a Cancer survivor as well as anyone we have lost to Cancer. So, if you'll allow me to run in your honor or your loved one's memory please include the name (nickname) of the individual you would like me to place on my shirt.

I also set up a fundraising page where you can donate money to the American Cancer Society, if you like.

    http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?px...s_tafId=920478

In an effort to place the name under the correct heading please provide me the name in the following format:

    In Honor=
    H: Mona

    In Memory=
    M: Mehdi

Thank you! Together We CAN Make A Difference!

My GPA was overridden with that crap in the 70's. I watched it eat him alive at U.C.L.A. thank god I haven't had to see anyone else go through that. Cancer is ugly.

I just found out today that someone I work with, whom I've known for a decade has cancer. She's a single mom in her late 20s so I would've never expected this. She's so positive and strong it was tough for me to believe something was wrong with her. The owner of my company announced it today because she's been out sick for a few days.

I love running and have ran a few charity marathons this year. I'm not sure what I have going on in March, but if I'm available to run I'm down.

I won this brick for taking 4th place in a 5k I did in Chino earlier this year.

The've come a long ways, prayers with her. My sister in law beat breast cancer and it wasn't that bad.
