    BTW, Proctor is a component of a soil compaction test, it is the unit weight of 1 cubic foot of soil compacted to 100% given optimum moisture content. Marshall is similar except used in asphalt compaction testing. As far as I know they are named for the individuals that invented the tests.

    Thanks, believe it or not its kinda boring after a while. I used to operate cranes mostly, you dont develop bad backs and knees on them.
