The channel is great this time of year for a little break in the action. Especially when they don't have a regatta screwing everything up!

Amen, we screwed it up real good on Saturday morning too. DCB's all the way from practically the Turtle to the entrance

I almost pulled over. I hate bumping my boat in and out of gear that much. There were other boats backing things up

One sad thing we saw, this black lab (I think) was out in the lake swimming around by himself. No idea how he got there or why he was abandoned, but the people in the Grey M got to him before us and picked him up. Not sure what happened to him. Hard to believe he may have fallen out of a boat and no one noticed. I guess he could have swam from shore, but it was pretty far out. Fortunately he was rescued by these very kind people.
